What’s up with the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Storage Requirements?
The Season 4 Reloaded update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone added another 30 GB, depending on the platform and if you owned the Free2Play or the full version.
A Reddit user shared a screenshot of his Modern Warfare folder in a thread. The game is an impressive 209 GB on his PC. Other users also recommend you have a storage space of over 200 GB on your hard drive.
Players who only have Warzone installed have a storage requirement of around 100 GB, which is still not a small amount.
The full game forces owners of small hard drives to free them up just for Call of Duty and to uninstall almost everything else.
Players whose Call of Duty is on a 250 GB hard drive will have to worry about transferring the Call of Duty to a larger hard drive considering the space requirement for this major update.
At least on the console, unused parts of the game can be removed. But if the demand continues to grow, things will look bad for small hard drives.
Many comments from the Reddit thread portray anger and incomprehension. Some do not understand how, despite the major updates, problems like cheats or the broken audio cannot be fixed.
Nevertheless, we’ll see if Season 5 cracks the 300 GB.

CoD: Modern Warfare – Another massive update, storage space consumption continues to grow
Many will have already noticed on Monday that the latest update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone hits again with a 30 GB download.
On May 18, 2020, there was another huge update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone . Although gamers can look forward to the new content , with an update size of a good 31 GB, very few of them make leaps of joy.
The entire game is slowly scratching the 200 GB mark, whether on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Especially on the normal PS4, Xbox One S with a 500 GB hard drive, the game will soon take up half of the space available and force players to restrict themselves considerably when choosing a game.
On the PS4, however, there is also the problem that a good 100 GB of free storage space will still be required for the update.
The big updates are also rather unpopular with players with moderately good download speeds. Even with a download speed of 100 Mbit / s you still need three-quarters of an hour to download 30 GB of data.
