In the jungle of different display resolutions, qHD display appears next to terms such as WQHD, UWQHD, 4K or Full HD. We explain what qHD means and how good or bad the resolution is next to the others.

qHD has a different resolution than QHD and both are based on Full HD.

What does qHD mean?

qHD is sometimes confused with QHD. The important difference is whether the first letter Q is lowercase or uppercase. If someone should explain the term, he usually translates the Q as Quad and speaks of Quad-HD. Quad stands for four and means a standard that has four times as many pixels as the HD resolution – but only if the Q is really capitalized.
